"a day when I can change my fate."
This man has been one of my biggest inspirations since I can remember. Even when I was 4 and barely understood what actors were, I always recognised him and would point at the TV and say ‘there’s the funny man’. They think that his death may have been suicide which makes it even sadder because he was always portraying funny characters with so much wit and happiness yet he is so sad that he would take his own life. People glamorize Hollywood lifestyles and fame yet it really takes a toll on some of the grandest people to ever walk the earth. He kept his spark of madness right up until the end. The best thing about actors is that they live on through their characters. They never truly leave us.
Genie, you’re free
i am literally crying right now
I really am saddened by Robin Williams death but I am worried about they way tumblr is going about this. I am scared that these posts are supporting and even sensationalizing the suicide of a very troubled individual.
Robin Williams was a comedic genius, revolutionary thinker, deep beautiful person, and beloved man but he was also very troubled he ended his life because he had a lot of inner demons. He didn’t release himself from some sort of metaphoric shackles, he was broken by his own mind to the point that he didn’t feel like his life should go on.
It’s alright to mourn this wonderful person, but don’t try putting a positive spin on a situation that is everything but positive.
How is anyone in any way supporting his suicide? Everyone is taking about how genuinely torn they are that it happened. Positive spin? I really think you need to explain what you’re going on about because I have seen many posts on tumblr about his death and not one of them have made it out to be a positive thing. If you’re referring to me saying “Genie, you’re free” that’s not making it out to be a good thing that he’s died but more a good thing that now he’s in a better place. He has escaped these, as you put it, ‘Inner demons’ and can now be free in paradise without the weights of the world holding him down. Of course, it would have been idyllic for him to find a way to escape these demons and keep breathing but that’s not how the world works sometimes.
Someone has died, my dear, and people grieve in different ways and feel differently about death and suicide and what it all means. The worst thing you can do is put somebody down for the way they are grieving and the way they cope with the idea of somebody taking their own life. So don’t.
all i know
is that i’m lost
